Sewing Patterns for Beginners!

For the past several years I have had 100's and 100's of emails, comments, and feedback from first time Mommy sew-ers and beginner sew-ers write me with lots of excitement about sewing their daughter an outfit and loving the ease of SewSensible patterns!! It has truly been one of my greatest joys with SewSensible: to read your emails, comments, and feedback and see the pictures of your loved ones in the outfits you created! I want to thank all of you who have sent in your creations! You not only have brought me great joy but you have inspired many many other Moms to try their hands at sewing!! Please don't stop sending me your creations!! They make my sewing blog such a wonderful place to visit and if you don't mind please help me spread the word to other Moms, GrandMoms, and Aunts too about SewSensible Children's Boutique Sewing Patterns!! :) If you have a blog or website, please consider grabbing my SewSensible logo button!! And thanks to so many of you for purchasing SewSensible patterns! I am in the process of getting the revisions complete with the Scoop Neck Dress Top with long/short sleeve options. And look for more patterns to come in 2010!!!!!

And I have to thank United Notions and Fabrics, Creative Smocking, and Petersen-Arne for giving me an opportunity with them. Thank you!!

Aimee', people probably think we're related with how much I promote you. =) Now that we have moved back stateside I'm in a new MOPS group. In my last group only one or two other people sewed, but in this one I keep bumping into more and more sewers. You have no idea how happy this makes me. Five people in my small group of 8-10 moms sew!!! Anyway, it seems that most are scared of paper patterns when it comes to clothes. I don't hesitate for a moment to make a plug for YCMT and then promptly slip your name in. One of the moms has a machine, but doesn't sew. I'm working on her. *wink-wink* I wrote down the YCMT website and your name so she could seek out some patterns I know she would be successful at. I put in a plug on how you don't do zippers or buttons so she wouldn't let that stop her. Now if our small group (1/3 of the MOPS group) does the craft get together we have talked about maybe me and the other four ladies can talk the rest into a sewing party. Surely then I can cross some women over to the wonderful world of epatterns and SewSensible. =)
