Custom Boutique Easter Basket!

I was so inspired by K's last two Boutique Easter Baskets that I decided to try an applique like she did! When I sew, I sew for three at a time so applique is usually eliminated by me just because I like to keep it simple and finish all three outfits or sewing projects in one night. I had so much fun doing this basket with the bunny applique!! This Bunny will be traveling in the mail today. I'll post more about that in the coming days! K, yours are cuter, though!! :)

Hey, I actually made the dress top last night. It was so easy, but did take me longer then it should have. I think I need to sew more to be able to make it under an hour. I was almost done (top stitching) when I ran out of thread. Tell me how one can do this?! Hahaha... I guess it didn't help I used the same thread to make the stripework top too. I'm leaving shortly to go buy more thread so I can add the elastic and finish my top stitch.

I didn't take into account my daughter is short so the 1/2 size is MUCH more dress then top. I pinned up the back and took pictures of her in it earlier. If you check back to my blog you can see the unfinished product.

Jennifer, it looks great! My dress top is designed that it is more of a dress than a top. The reason I call it a dress top is because it goes along with today's style of wearing a dress looking top with pants!! Your daughter is precious and will look adorable for Easter!!
