Summer break will be officially here tomorrow! (However it has already started for almost all of our children except two). I love Summer just like I love the beginning of all seasons. I always plan and dream and hope that I can do all we want to do during that time. I have plans and dreams of gardens, flowers, sewing, patterns, kids laughing, library reading, rainy June days, summer hot cooled with water sprinklers, barefoot feet with mud between the toes, sweaty hair and kids smelling..... well, you know how heat and sweat make you smell LOL! and lots of BBQ's. AND I love it all!!!!!

Above are some awesome custom creations! OK AREN'T THEY TOO CUTE!!!!! Be inspired this summer! Make something you never thought you could. The first step is to start it!! I hope to sew me some skirts and a shirt this summer along with finalizing the changes I am making to some of my patterns. I am excited about the future! I can't wait to see what you are sewing! Leave me a comment and let me know what your plans are for the summer! What is something you want to sew this summer? is it for you? is it for your children? is it for your grandchildren? is it a birthday gift for your nieces? Let me know! I would love to hear what you plan to sew this summer!

Many thanks to all of you who sent these wonderful custom creations! Your "models" are just beautiful! I pray you all have a very blessed and fruitful summer!

Quilt Market 2010

Yes, Quilt Market 2010 is here and wow it is so hard not being a part of it! It is just not my time. With a family of ten I cannot do all I want to do but maybe next year!!!!! I am following a lot of tweeters and City Craft has been updating wonderfully! They even had a podcast. If you want to follow then click the graphic above.

I do have a sample of Happy Girl Dress and a matching purse at the United Notions and Fabric booth. So I am a little there but surely not like I want to be. Happy times to all who are at Quilt Market! I pray blessings and more blessings upon you all!

In Christ, Aimee'
(yes I am busy working on patterns, good changes, and more ideas!)

Sewing Time ..... almost!

my sweet little niece in her very own Mod Girl Dress!

The past month we have had a full plate with the orphan adoption ministry His Heart for Orphans we lead at our church: tv interview, online adoption discussion live chat, Mom's coffee break, a play date, an adoption workshop this morning, and a foster care prayer vigil next week. It is all good! Anytime we get to bring hope and encouragement to anybody in regards to adoption and help another child who has no Mom or Dad get adopted it is a win win for us!

I am a little slow with the Mod Girl sewing pattern and it is with some good reasons. I am making a few changes to some things but I am not going to talk about yet however hopefully I will get to share in the coming month.

I hope all of you are having a great end of the school year and I am looking to seeing what you guys..... hmmmhmmm girls are sewing this summer! I can't wait to show you a few things I have been sewing too!

Happy Mother's Day!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!
(Heidi not shown in picture)

Hope all of you Mom's out there had a wonderfully blessed Mother's Day! Mine was just awesome! Church, family, crawfish, homemade blueberry pie from berries our children picked the day before and a cookie cake! And if you are not a Mom and had a very hard time going through another Mother's Day because you desire to be a Mom then I was praying for you..... specifically Hebrews 11:1 "What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see." I am believing with you for Him to give you the desire of your heart..... to be a Mom!!

Beginner Sewing Patterns!

Hello! know that I am busy busy making updates and changing a few things around here for SewSensible! I am working on the Mod Girl and adding a few other things. I hopefully will be able to talk more about it in the coming weeks (nothing major just a few things that I believe you will like to see). For now though, check out these awesome Mommy creations I received and their beautiful models!! I can't tell you how much I LOVE getting these emails!!!!! They not only bless me but they inspire so many others to actually start sewing!! Thank y'all so much and if you have made something with SewSensible patterns please email it to me to share! I would love to "show it off" for you ;)

This Mommy used SewSensible Boutique Dress Top and Boutique Bottoms sewing patterns and said, "Loved this pattern! Thanks! L"

This Mommy and GrandMother got creative and used the Simple Sunday Dress sewing pattern and Scoop Neck Dress Top. She said, "Hi Aimme' I truly love all of your patterns and have learned so much from you! Here are some pics from Easter. I made my daughter and granddaughter dresses that are a cross between the revised scoop neck and the simple sunday dress. They were the toast of the town, and everyone wanted to know where I bought them! Of course that's always the greatest compliment to a seamstress! Thank you for you're easy, beautiful patterns. J"

This GrandMother used SewSensible Scoop Neck Dress Top sewing pattern, Boutique Bottoms sewing pattern and the Boutique Easter Basket sewing pattern. She said, "Hi, Aimee, Just thought I'd share pictures of my granddaughters in their scoop neck dresses I made for them from your pattern. This pattern was really easy to follow and turned out cute. My granddaughters love their dresses and their Easter baskets to match! I made P's (my 2 yr old grand) little bloomers as a modification to the boutique bottoms-instead of the ruffle, I just added elastic sewn a couple of inches from the bottom. I made P's dress much longer than the pattern dimensions as she wanted hers long. I think it turned out really pretty that way. I'm sure I'll be using this pattern again, I'd like to do tops next. P's Easter basket had the bunnies going sideways, but that's the way it had to be since I didn't have enough fabric left otherwise-oh, well, we just do what we have to do! She loved it anyway! I also made a basket for my little nephew. Keep churning out those patterns, they are GREAT! D

Thanks all of you for sending these in!!!!!! Such inspiration!!
