My friend created two separate pieces for her daughter using the Twirl SKORT sewing pattern. She created a skirt and a separate pair of shorts. Looks cute, MorningSong! She then sent a picture with her daughter wearing them together. Still cute!! Thanks for sending the pictures!
Side note: If any of you decide to make the Twirl SKORT as two separate pieces, please know that the shorts will look a little longer than if you made it into one piece! (This is because the waist to the skirt is higher on the body than the shorts are. As a Twirl SKORT, the waist is one for both making the shorts long enough to see just the shorts ruffle making it actually look like a double ruffle twirl skirt!) Either way is cute!
Well, I had an eye opener today from a very honest buyer!! I store some of my sewing patterns on a site that when you purchase one of my listings on ebay and pay through paypal the buyer is given a link to the sewing pattern. Well, I was informed by this precious buyer who purchased my Easter Basket sewing pattern that she also had access to the Twirl SKORT! I immediately went to this site to delete my patterns and contacted them and now I know how this site works! I also saw that my patterns on this site had been downloaded more than was purchased and that is ok. I cannot live my life judging others or give one ounce of myself to a negative attitude. I know the wages of sin and I chose not to walk that path. The fear of God is very strong within me. That keeps me straight and honest! I have given this sewing pattern business to God and the success of it is all because of Him! I do ask that any of you that purchase my patterns please do not copy or distribute any of its content to anybody. With that said, if you are reading this and for some reason you cannot afford to purchase a pattern, I will gladly bless you with a pattern. I am a very honest woman of God and I live my life by the Bible and I give all the glory to God for my life and I serve God with all my heart, all my soul, all my body, and all my spirit. This is a small glimpse of who I am and who you are buying from. I just wanted to share what was on my heart at this moment.
This is my latest sewing project: a purse, bible cover, and a diaper wipee bag! It was well time for all three! I used Amy Butler fabric. The diaper wipee was actually my original bible cover but I miscalculated so that's how it became Elijah's church diaper wipee bag. This was the first time I did this size and I added a zipper. There are a couple things I need to change. There is a pocket on the outside and three pockets on the inside. The bottom is wide enough for me to carry my bible and diaper wipee bag along with wallet and lipstick!
" This is SewSensible's Boutique Bottoms pattern. I am a beginner and I loved the pattern; it was so easy to follow. Look how cute the bottoms turned out! "
"Hi Aimee, I finally completed the outfit today it turned out better than the pic did but this looks so cute on her and I love the fact that with the skort her diaper doesnt show. Thank You So Much"
These are several pictures of some pretty awesome creations from some talented customers using the Boutique Bottoms sewing pattern and the Twirl SKORT Sewing Pattern! Pretty cute "models" as well! Thanks to each of you for sending them in. This truly blesses me!! And if you purchased any of my patterns, please feel free sending in your creations at sewsensible@cox.net. I would love to see what you are creating!!
My friend MorningSong just finished making her daughter two pairs of pants using my Boutique Bottoms sewing pattern. Here is what she said,
"My good friend SewSensible has another great pattern available on You Can Make This and eBay. I LOVE HER PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made a pair for HC last night!! SEW easy!! :) SOOO easy too!!"
Hello! and Hello to all the people of Australia! It is amazing how the internet can bring people from around the world together! Do you know that half of my buyers are from Australia! This probably has all to do with their weather there. If I am correct, it is hot. I will have to go to weather.com and see the temps. Anyway, thank all of you who have purchased my patterns. I am receiving excellent feedback which really blesses me. I am also happy to say that those beginner sewers are doing it!! Way to go!! And know that sewing is addictive!! LOL so is buying fabric!!
OK, I really would like to giveaway another pattern. Actually, I am going to giveaway three. It will be the Dress Top, Boutique Bottoms, and the Easter Basket pattern. I am hoping that someone will make an Easter outfit with a matching Easter basket and then send me the pictures!! If any of you would like to make an Easter outfit with the matching basket, please let me know and I will send you all three sewing patterns!! So the first person who comments on this post will receive these patterns!
Someone commented on my last post asking me if the baskets are that easy. The only way to answer that is to say that I design and create all of my sewing patterns with the beginner in mind. That's the great benefit of the eBook. There are so many pictures of almost every step and the instructions are very detailed. If you can sew a straight stitch then I believe you should be able to sew any of my patterns. I am also here to help any of you that have questions. Here is what someone said,
"I recently purchased your 3 patterns on ebay. I just wanted to tell you I have enjoyed them already. I have never sewed anything other than a pillow in High School 15 years age. Since I received the patterns I have sewed the dress top and bottoms for my little girl and also some pj bottoms for my son."
As a side note: I have added another size to the baskets so the pattern will have three sizes instead of two!

Here is a glimpse of my next sewing pattern. This one is a fun sewing project for your little princess or great as a gift! I am going to test the dimensions again today and will give more details, hopefully, tonight!
I wanted to share some feedback I received from someone who purchased the Twirl SKORT:
"Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I made the pattern that I bought last night and it has to be one of the cutest patterns that I have made for my grandaughter yet."
Now, this really made me smile and excited!! Thank you so much for the nice words!!
No, it is not a Twirl skirt instead it is a Twirl SKORT!! My Twirl SKORT Sewing Pattern! I am very excited with this design because I have not seen another where the Twirl Skirt and pantaloon are combined.....BUT NOW THERE ARE!!!! I believe if you love the twirl skirt you will really love the Twirl SKORT! Why? Well, my girls love to play outside and they love their skirts and I like to keep them modest. So when we come home from church and they go outside and play, I don't have to let them change from their skirts to their shorts or pants in order that their un*dies will not show when they are flipping on the play yard! Now they can keep their skirt on!! Here is the description:
Quite Beautiful! The Twirl SKORT: where being modest is Fun! I have designed this SKORT so that our children can have fun playing while keeping our daughters “girly” and modest. The Twirl SKORT combines the popular twirl skirt with the pantaloon! That’s right: a twirl skirt with sewn in shorts! Now your little princess can keep her skirt on while she jumps, twirls, slides, flips, rides her bike, and does cartwheels!
Great for the beginner to the advanced sewer! Easy to follow step-by-step instructions along with lots of pictures to guide you through each step! Not only is this a unique and cute skort, but very easy to sew! Dress it up with a peasant top and boots or go casual with some cute high tops and appliqué t-shirt! Whatever style you chose, your little one will surely turn heads! It is also simple enough to sew for a quick gift for your niece or granddaughter!
I have submitted it to You Can Make This tonight and if all goes well it should be ready for sale in a couple of weeks. I will also be putting it on ebay tonight!
I pray all of you reading this post are already experiencing blessings from God on this New Year day!! Today I was able to test my pattern again just to make sure all dimensions are correct!! I have completed the step-by-step instructions and tomorrow my wonderful husband will create a PDF of my pattern. And then, hopefully, tomorrow night I will submit it to YCMT! It will also be available for sale on ebay this week! I will give all the details to this sewing pattern tomorrow night as well! So in the meantime, I would love to give this sewing pattern away to a reader of my sewing blog! All of my patterns are great for beginners and the advanced sewers. So, if you would like a copy of my new sewing pattern then please leave a comment and the first one will get a copy of it. You must have Free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Here is a sneak peak of my next sewing pattern! I want give all the details right now. I will wait until it is complete! But it is becoming one of my favorite pieces. You will know why soon! All I have left to do is complete the step-by-step instructions and a few more pictures which, hopefully, I will complete this weekend.
Here is another Christmas sewing project! This was a fun project especially since I was able to use the never ending fabric leftovers that I just can't seem to throw away!! This is a pillow pattern from You Can Make This!
I am currently working on my next sewing pattern and I am very excited about this one!! Well, I have been excited about all of them but this one I find to be unique!! This week I tested my pattern and made a few changes to the dimensions. Yesterday, I tried the new dimensions and am satisfied with the look!! I plan to make the piece this weekend with my Amy Butler fabric I specifically purchased for this sewing pattern and use my Mother-in-law's camera because mine refuses to work! Thanks, Mom Trixie, for letting me borrow your camera!
This weekend my daughter and my twin six month old granddaughters came over for our family picture. I had ordered some Cheetah print fleece fabric to make some jackets for my daughters and I knew I would have some fabric left over so Sunday while they were here I made them each a fleece jacket!
I have been busy sewing! I decided to use this pinafore dress pattern for all my girls' Christmas dresses and for my nieces. Here are my nieces dresses! They turned out so cute but they always look better on a model. I'll have to put a picture of all of them wearing them for their Christmas picture!
I was up at 1:45am nursing and putting our 10 month old back to bed and decided to walk to the computer for an email check! I should have known I would go to sewing links!! LOL So here I am showing you what I found! I visited the Boutique Life from Journal Modiste and she had this great tutorial on making your own shopping bags! Cute Cute!! I believe I may have found the gift I am going to give my children's teachers!! That or Starbuck's gift cards!! I'll let you know!
Tonight I was able to sew a cute little twirl skirt with the fabric extras I had for the Twirls for Girls campaign that You Can Make This is having for Toys for Tots! This was such a fun project! This was also my first time sewing a charm square project! Not only was I able to sew for such a great cause but I was able to do it with my daughters at my side!! It was an awesome Mommy/Daughter moment! And after I was finished, they thought it was for them to keep and held on to this little bear until they went to bed tonight! I guess I will have to make their dollies a twirl skirt!
It is not too late to participate in the Twirls for Girls! Click here for more information!
I just love You Can Make This! It inspires me "sew much!! LOL This gift idea above is too cute!! They are headbands packaged in such an adorable way! Go to YCMT website here and watch the video at the bottom of the site!

Knowing that thousands of dolls are donated each year to the “Toys for Tots” foundation, the team at You Can Make This! wanted to create a place where people could freely download patterns and donate the finished projects to their local Toys for Tots units. Little girls love to receive a new doll, and being able to dress that new doll in sweet new clothes is even more fun! Click here to read more!
This is a picture of the fabric selection I will use for my next sewing pattern. I have created one but I am going to try another look before using this Amy Butler fabric! I just love Amy Butler fabric! My daughters have each picked out which color they want. I hope to have my next ePattern done before Christmas but it may not be until January!
"I never would have believed that I could make something so cute in such a short time"
Now this is the reason I love making patterns!! I received this picture from a Mom who commented on one of my posts asking me if she thought someone with minimal sewing skills could use my patterns. I sent them to her and this is her creation she made for her beautiful daughter! WOW, just adorable!! Thanks for sending the picture, S!
She used the Dress Top Sewing Pattern along with the Boutique Bottoms Sewing Pattern.
My friend, Nanette from Nanoo Children's Designs, has two new Patterns on You Can Make This! Christmas Stockings and a Fun Fleece Scarf!! Check it out here for the Christmas stocking and here for the scarves!
