Simple Sunday Dress, Boutique Bottoms, Reversible Pleated Dress Top, Scoop Neck Dress Top, Sewing Patterns!

Simple Sunday Dress sewing pattern!
"Hello!I have made one of pattern you sell (in fact many pairs of boutique bottoms) and just love them! I am not new to sewing, but found your construction easier to follow than many children's patterns I have used in the past and love the result! I especially love being able to complete a full outfit- top and pants- in one night! I think Christmas dresses would be gorgeous! Thanks again for all you do to help us busy sewers produce lovely garments quickly!" R

"Thanks for all the patterns. I love making them and love how they all turn out so nice." S

Ok, did you get INSPIRED!!!!! I know I did with all these wonderful outfits and beautiful models!! Thanks so much for sending them in and for the super kind words! Always a blessing to see SewSensible patterns bring joy to you!!

Physical Pattern update
: I received the directions for the Twirl SKORT and Reversible Pleated Dress Top and am waiting on the covers and pattern pieces. They will ship out beginning of this coming week. Creative Smocking is taking pre-orders with free shipping at this time for both of these patterns. About the Scoop Neck Dress Top, I have received my feedback and pictures from the testers and am busy redrawing and adding some revisions. I am half way done with the directions and graphics. I will hopefully be able to send this to the testers again this coming week. I will order my Christmas outfit fabric this weekend because the Scoop Neck Dress Top sewing pattern is definitely the one I will use for my girls' Christmas dresses! So excited! The FAITH has a new simpler design but still giving it the exact same look. I just made an even simpler way to sew it up if it could get any simpler! It is only available on the physical pattern at this time.

Purchasing the Physical Patterns: If you are interested in purchasing SewSensible Children's Boutiqe Sewing Patterns in the physical then you can check out my sidebar with some of the boutique shops that sell them. If you sell them and would like me to list you, please send me an email.

Downloadable Patterns update
: I have not transitioned the new graphics to the downloadable patterns yet. Except for the Reversible Pleated Dress Top, all the downloadable ones still have the original photo and directions. I do plan to transition the new look to downloadable as well in the future. You can still purchase the downloadable patterns at You Can Make This, SewSensible Website, and SewSensible Etsy shop!

FAITH Double Layer Dress Top and Scoop Neck Dress Top with Long sleeve option sewing patterns!

Ok, I was just so excited to get this test of the revised Scoop Neck Dress Top with optional Long Sleeves! Love it!! Isn't she just beautiful in her custom outfit!! As you can tell, I am a big fan of front bows on a dress top or dress! There will be some changes to the placement of the waist ties. I am thinking about sewing them at the side as to have the option to tie in back but I am a front and a little to the left or right waist tie fan!! I just love the look! And of course I love the long sleeve option and it is so easy to sew!! I am waiting for the other tester comments and pictures and then will make the final changes.

I received an email the other day asking me what was the difference between the downloadable patterns I sell and the physical patterns I am doing. The difference is the downloadable patterns on my site, You Can Make This, my etsy shop and AllBrands is they are a pdf ebook which you print on regular paper including pattern pages and I show you how to lay them side by side, tape and cut for a full pattern. Some of my beginning patterns still have a photo for almost every step which the beginners love! Now for the physical patterns, these are patterns that are being distributed to quilt shops, fabric shops, etc..... These patterns are on tissue paper like you would see in a store with new graphics. The graphics are drawn and not an actual photo but I have tried very hard to still have a graphic for almost every step. And I am always available for anyone via email if you have a question while sewing whether you purchase a downloadable pattern or a physical pattern. The other difference is the pricing. The downloadable prices are $9.95 each with many pattern collection options. The physical patterns you will find online or in stores are $12.50. All of my patterns are designed with the beginner in mind and for the last several years that is the majority of my customers: first time Mommy sewers or very beginner Mommy sewers..... along with some awesome GrandMoms and Aunts too :) Also, on my sidebar I listed where to purchase the downloadable patterns and a list where you can buy the physical patterns. If you are selling SewSensible physical patterns and you would like to be listed, please send me an email and I will gladly add you to the list.

Now take a look at this awesome Mommy creation I received this weekend!!

"Thanks for such easy patterns." J

"Aimee--Hi there! I kept checking on your patterns at All Brands. I'm sending you a picture of my girls in matching Faith Tops for their Easter egg hunt outfits! But I think that the eggs on the main fabric are kind of abstract and they can wear them all spring! My youngest daugher, is wearing the size 1/2 and my oldest daughter is wearing the size 5/6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern and also posted this picture over at sewforum. I can't wait to make some more for summer! Thanks for designing such fabulous and friendly patterns. I am loving your new pleated reversible dress top. I hope that you and your family had a blessed Easter. Thanks for so freely sharing your talents! In Christ, M"

Boutique Dress Top Sewing Pattern

"I purchased a few patterns a while back and now have a picture to share. I made matching outfits for my girls and my niece and their dolls. They were sooo easy to make and they turned out beautiful. The girls felt like princesses and were so excited to show them off. They definitely love to match, and we are now planning the next set of outfits. After my battle to thread the machine, everything else was easy. I love the step by step pictures. I am looking forward to buying some more of your patterns. Keep up the great work and I love to look at everyone's wonderful creations. V "

"Aimee, I've been wanting to "write" for over a year now. I've fell in love with your patterns, and everyone who sees my N's outfits has a fit over them! They immediately ask where I purchased them. I've referred several moms and grandmoms to your site. I'm attaching a couple of photos of N wearing some of our creations. One is her Faith double layer top and bottoms in a cherry fabric. The other is her scoop neck top and bottoms with matching Easter basket. It's so fun mixing and matching the coordinating fabrics. May God continue to bless your family! Thanks for sharing your creativity with others. A"

I never paid any attention when my mother sewed growing up. Now, as a mother of five (four girls), I'm beginning to sew and enjoying the creative outlet sooo much. Without your patterns and pictures, I'd have never had the courage to try. My mother is impressed and thinks you've taught me a lot. Thank you and keep 'em coming." Twirl SKORT Skirt Sewing Pattern goes to Disney, FAITH Double Layer Dress Top Sewing Pattern and Boutique Bottoms sewing pattern!

And wasn't it just perfect to come back and have three pictures of these cute cute sisters in their Twirl SKORTS at Disney! Love this!! Here is what this awesome Mommy said, "Hi, Thought I'd send you a couple pics of my girls in their twirly skorts. I love them! I bought the pattern while planning the outfits to make for our Disney trip. Obviously, they wore these to the Animal Kingdom. It was great to have them in something cutesy and girly, but as you can see in the one picture, great to get "modest" pictures when they just want to play and not be ladylike. :) I will get lots of use out of this pattern, love it. Oh, and it was very easy to readjust your pattern as well, my not quite 3 year old is almost as tall as her 5 year old sister, but tiny slim. It was very easy to adjust -- in case anyone ever wonders about that. :) Thanks again!"

Thank you so much for sending me these pictures! I have no doubt that your daughters made heads turn in admiration!! I know I have so much fun looking at these pictures! Ok, I may have to make my girls one like this for our Disney family trip in June!!

And then I was blessed with these pictures of one of the Moms who participated in the AllBrands sewing class I taught! How cute is this!! This awesome Mommy used SewSensible's FAITH Double Layer Dress Top sewing pattern and Boutique Bottoms sewing pattern. Love Love this!! I actually made a Twirl SKORT with the butterfly fabric! It is just a sweet design! Hats off to you for this cute cute custom outfit you made your little princess!! I have always loved the way the back of FAITH criss crosses. Here is what this Mom said, "Hi Aimee, I took your class at Allbrands a few weeks back and had so much fun. Your patterns were so easy to follow. I just wanted to send a picture of the finished product ( I still need to take up the elastic in the top). My little girl loves her new outfit…now I have to finish another for the baby. Thanks"

Thanks so much for sending me these pictures! I loved teaching the class and I love even more to see that most of you that attended are busy sewing at home for your loved ones! Awesome!

Here is another awesome Mommy creation from another Mom who attended the AllBrands sewing class a few weeks back. Of course I love this fabric too! Just so so sweet on your little princess. Here is what this Mom said, "This is the outfit I did for the Allbrands class. M loved it!! As if you couldn't tell. I can't wait to make some more!"

Again, thank you so much for sending these pictures! What is better than these pictures is knowing that each of you, Moms, are filled with joy as your daughter wears your custom creation!! Isn't that so much fun!! Thanks for letting me be a little part of that!

NEXT ALLBRANDS SEWING CLASS: I have also scheduled my next sewing class at AllBrands. It will be March 21. We will be sewing the Simple Sunday Dress! This is a great opportunity to sew your daughter or granddaughter an Easter Dress if you are near the BR area!

Applique Ice Cream Cone and New Sewing Pattern pictures!

Front

Back

Applique' Ice Cream Cone

coming soon to SWAKembroidery

Here are some exciting pictures..... at least for me!! :) The first one is from my friend, Dina, who made the Simple Sunday Dress for her daughter. Here is what she said about this dress, "Yeah! I finished my Simple Sunday Dress and it turned out SO CUTE! I haven't gotten a pic of Liv in it yet, but here are some pics of it on a hanger. Love it! It was easy and boy am I happy with how it turned out! Have a great week!"

Thanks, Dina!! Love the dress! Can't wait to see it on Liv!!

The next picture is my newest applique embroidery design. (Well, I say new, but I have several that are ready for testing for about 3 months now but I just have not found the time to test. I finally did test the applique ice cream. I am putting this and a cupcake on some of Grace's jeans and making her a Simple Sunday Dress to match but I will make it a dress top instead of a dress with the same fabric in the picture above. I will also add ruffles to the jeans. Hopefully I will remember to take picture of adding the ruffles and make that a free tutorial. Someone please remind me!!) Anyway, the Applique' Ice Cream Cone will be available on SWAKembroidery soon! It is a yummy fun design for spring and summer!
